O-Town Airplane Emergency

O-Town`s Trevor Penick, Dan Miller, Erik-Michael Estrada, Ashley Angel and Jacob Underwood got that call Tuesday shortly after signing a recording contract with former Arista legend Clive Davis and his new company, J Records.

What started out as one of the best days of their lives, ended with terrified prayers that it not be their last. The five young men were flying in a small Delta jet that night from New York to Buffalo when most were jolted awake by a loud sound and a flash seen outside the window.

"We grabbed hands and started praying," Miller said. As Estrada led them in prayer, "We were looking at each other like, `This is not cool.` It was the most scared any of us have been in our lives."

Penick, whose two biggest fears are drowning and dying in a plane crash, said he was dreaming about a hole being blown in the plane and grabbing onto Angel`s hand as he fell through, when he was jolted awake by the real crisis. "When the captain came on and said the left engine had caught fire," Penick said, "I was scared to death."

The plane made an emergency landing amid firetrucks on an airport in Pennsylvania. "It showed us to never forget how we got here and that at any point it can all be taken away," Miller said.

SIDE NOTE: O-Town to charm Lucci

You can meet the five O-Town guys today at Planet Hollywood, where they will be signing copies of PopStar magazine from 4 to 6 p.m. and singing "All for Love."

They`ll also be appearing soon on an episode of All My Children. The group sings (not lip-syncs, we`re told) at a birthday party that Susan Lucci`s Erica Kane character throws for her daughter, Bianca.

Angel even gets a line: "Bianca, may I have this dance?" How does she respond? Tune in Sept. 18 and see.
